It’s about a company that came up in 1994 of divulsion of seccion pig farm - packaging of meat - company development by products of slaughter house of CHITAS FARM A.A., a company that since 1965, had as subject matter the production and commerce of pork meat.

CHITAS S.A. is a family business.
Her shareholders are Mr Vissarion Chitas, who is also the founder and has master experience in pork breeding, since his activity with the above activity is special and its duration is over 40 years, as well as his daughters Chita Melania, Chita Maria and Chita Irene.

The establishments of the industrial slaughterhouse are in 6,500.00 square metres in an own building plot over 60,000.00 square metres.



Since 1994, CHITAS S.A., till 2000 brought into effect plan over 2 billion Greek drachmas or
6 million € euros, starting an ideal business Europeans specifications, according the following production lines and establishments:

1 Metallic facility, total lengthening 6,500.00 square metres
2 Slaughter line for pigs, spirit 6,000.00 tones per year
3 Slaughter line for cattle, spirit 400.00 tones per year

Until today, the company supplies porks from smaller authorised breeding farms, from the area, either buying live animals, either slaughter them for third parties.
The company also is about to finish the creation of ideal pig farm spirit 200 pig mothers.

In the immediate of the company is the trade of lamps – goats and beef meat.

During last years, is acting a sales agency of retail and wholesale to the establishments of the company, from where the products are carrying.

The company, deed of the great value owns a big share of the total sales in country level, a fact that comes by the stability of the quality of the products and to the consequence of the company to the customers.
CHITAS S.A. has slaughter house code S5 and boniness section and packaging code A76 authorised by the European Community.


Nowadays, CHITAS S.A., as she has comprehended the competition and as she has received the messages of the market, is in the stadium of the modernisation of the ministration with point the attributor function, the best good turn for the collaborators but most of all the public health.
For all the above she has started the procedure of materialisation of a plan by the following actions:

1.Design implementation and certification of quality system by ISO 22000, HACCP, AGRO3.3, AGRO 3.4 to the company activities.
